I and my friend was part of a BLM discord, and after hearing from them that they were recently banned from the Love is Not Tourism discord for having "Free Haiti from the US & France" in their name - this makes me question the validity of the server.
Love is not tourism for everyone, but apparently it doesn't matter when it's black people within your server? What's wrong with a member having their political beliefs as their name? Apparently they said that they were being harassed by white Americans in that server for being a minority. They were given no warning to being banned. However, if the members within that group tells them, "F*ck you," for having a different opinion, that is okay as well?
This is not a good look for your server if you cannot help black people or decide to be ignorant of our plight in the US. If a member says that they are explicitly black, are you going to ban them too because of that? That doesn't seem fair that the citizens of a particular country can joke about where they live - but if it's someone who disagrees with the rules of the US - they get banned immediately.
What do the moderators have to say about their subtle racism in the chat?
