Hi everyone! I am so excited to have found this website to hopefully help me navigate some very confusing regulations. I am an American citizen trying to visit my partner in Austria.
I know the Austria website says "Life partners are all people who are in a fixed relationship, regardless of whether they share the same place of residence or how long the relationship has lasted." Which is great! But if that is true, I am curious to know if I need any "proof" or documentation in order to be able to come visit. What are all the documents I need to being to be able to get into the country? Will I need to show them anything proving our relationship and if so, what do I need to bring? What are the chances I get denied entry into the country and what would those reasons be? Does anyone have any experience with this? Some help would be SO much appreciated.
