Petition to add Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago keeps it borders closed since 22nd of March 2020 and have no intention to open its borders anytime soon or grant exemptions for non nationals or non residents, making all international relationship impossible and separated hundreds of couples and families. Is there anyway to start petition or make Trinidad and Tobago government aware of the issue?

Tikib Hello my dear. I haven't seen my man, who lives in Trinidad ,since february 2020. We've known each other for 10 years and now this was the time to move together. It's been very hard. Maybe we can start a petition together.

Hi good morning everyone , me and my kids have been separated from my husband since September of 2019 😥 I came back to America from trinidad to give birth to our second daughter, I was suppose to return after her birth(jan 2020) then boom 💥 COVID 19 . Now I'm just here with 3 kids sitting on unemployment, because I can't work and kids can't go to school ... I am really scared because my unemployment will soon be up I have no support I cannot travel back to Trinidad for my husband support and now I do not know what our future soon holds! So guys I'm all in for a petition......

TamaraPRI Hi Tamara, I really do feel for you. So sorry you've had to cope alone all this time with the kids. I'm in the same boat....I have no idea when Trinidad plans to open up?! Why can't we just enter with a negative Covid test pre and post flight and then quarantine!!? This is all ridiculous because the rules hasn't changed in the last year! They are doing nothing.

Hi there! So glad to find this chat group, definitely down for the petition. Trinidad needs to open it's borders! I'm from Toronto, Canada and my boyfriend is from Trinidad. We have been apart since just before Covid (Dec 2019)...plan was to go back after 4 months and get married....and then BAM Covid March 2020! We've had such a hard time getting through this because there seems to be no end in sight. There should be rights for loved ones. Absolutely unfair that only TNT Nationals/residents can enter Trinidad. I even submitted the exemption form on TNT National Security site.... it's hopeless, no response. Anyone have any updates??!! Also to make it worst, Canada has stopped all flights to sunny destinations until end of April. It's been a horrible experience....just hanging on.

Hi saleh , I'm in the same situation and so iS my kids as u see 😢 my husband who lives in TT haven't seen me or the kids since September 2019 . I was to go back after my daughter birth , jan 2020 the beginning of the covid pandemic. I could have caught a flight then , but didn't want to put my non vaccinated newborn at risk. Your not alone , even though it feels like it!!! We will get there .. I actually made for jim and I to meet in Canada , but then that got shutdown to . SMH 🤦

Salehima I'm waiting for my husband to get back to me today , but I hear they might open for 2days. I'll let you know by tomorrow if it is true.

Let’s see if they really open in 2 days but I don’t believe it will happen before 70-80% of population is vaccinated-May/June. I applied for exemption in November but as I am non-national nor resident I don’t have any chance to get it. I suggest we start petition in few days if nothing changes.
