FelixUrbasik I’m from Boston MA, USA and my fiancé is from Amsterdam! He was intending on attending university for graduate studies here starting this fall yet the virus has delayed that. Unfortunately I will be starting nursing school in the fall so I will no longer be able to travel once September rolls around. I’m hoping the Netherlands allows couples to reunite soon!

FelixUrbasik hi! Im from Kazakhstan and my boyfriend is from Greece residing in the UK. When all this lockdown was just starting i went to the UK in March. Then with lockdown and distant working he left back to Greece. I cannot enter to any EU country bcs of ban. And my boyfriend cannot come here bcs Kazakhstan opened flights only with 6 countries with which we have direct flights. In this list out if EU countrues is only Germany, and the arriving foreigner should be resident of country in the list. The saddest thing we were planning a wedding this year. With lockdown we switched to simple marriage registration plan. And now we cannot even meet to get married. We have been in long distance relationship for more than 4 years and im running out of patience bcs of things happening around. We cant see each other now and dont know how long it will continue...

Hi Felix,
first of all thank you so much for all your effort you have done until now and my compliments for your achievements you reached until today.
I am from Germany and my partner lives on the Philippines.....we met 3 times already....twice in Indonesia and a longstay in his mothercountry Philippines.
What a big pity that recently Germany put two very limiting preconditions like having met up already once in Germany or recent common residence abroad. It is really heartless and a big shame especially to our country as we have the EU presidentship right now that we prevent so many couples from being reunited in Germany. These regulations are actually very discriminating and heartless.....they are just political in relation to possible migrants.
I am very glad and thankful when I read that your demand on this website was already announced by you to skip these 2 bad limitations.
I contacted today already Stefan Liebich in parallel via Email and asked him for support and help so that the BMI will hopefully remove these restrictions.
Thanks again for your activities Felix and good luck to you and your partner abroad and to all of us.
Please stay healthy anyway.

FelixUrbasik I am from the Philippines and my partner is from Germany. We’ve traveled in Southeast Asia 3x and stayed together 4weeks in the Philippines. We are a loving couples for eleven months and we‘ve planned of meeting this year in Germany but due to the current requirements, it’s really a big challenge now to reunite each other. Our anniversary is coming soon and we really wish that we can celebrate it together. I hope the requirements of meeting at least once in Germany or join residence abroad will be removed . My boyfriend is from Brazil and I'm from Germany... and Germany will pass a travel ban to all flights from and to Brazil.. I don't know how to handle that situation at all I miss him soo much :(

FelixUrbasik Hi, I'm David in the UK. My girlfriend is in Thailand. We met on the internet during the first UK lockdown and have been talking every day for the last 8 months. I wasn't sure about on-line dating at first but after this length of time I've revised my opinion. If only we could meet each other! Either Thailand wouldn't let me in or now the UK won't let me out.

I am from Honolulu, Hawaii, USA and my partner is a Kiwi in New Zealand.
I cannot get back to NZ because my visa is still pending and have been told it will not be processed since I am not in the country. I left for family medical reasons and they have not granted my 20+ travel exemption requests.

I'm from the US and my partner is from Sweden. It's awesome to see Sweden followed in Denmark's footsteps with easing border restrictions for romantic partners, however I'm still confused as to the types of "proof" I need to bring to demonstrate things like "intent to cohabitate" and "intent to marry." Does anyone have any insight? Is Border Control just subjectively deciding who to allow? It's pretty obvious what to show to prove you are married, however how is one supposed to prove "intent" to marry? It just feels like it's so vague, and we know exactly what our intent is, however I don't want to risk three flight connections and a 17 hour journey just to be told to go back home because our proof of "intent to cohabitate" doesn't align with the exact documentation they require.

Hi everyone, I am a Belarusian citizen who's lived in Germany for the past 10 years, and my partner is from Russia. We have been planning moving in together for quite a while now, but it's so complicated with jobs, language tests and money, and now that things were starting to fall into place, covid happened. It's so frustrating and scary not knowing when we'll be able to see each other. As far as I know there are barely any options to travel from Russia to Europe atm, because the country stopped international flights. The separation and uncertainty is very taxing on the mental health... I feel for all the people who are in a similar situation and hope that there will be progress to our cause across the countries. We are strong and our relationships are valid ❤️

I am Indian and my partner is from the US and I am currently stuck in Switzerland. We are waiting for my K1 visa to be reissued. I can't go back to India since the K1 visa can only be reissued by the consulate that issued it the first time (US Embassy in Bern).

Americans can now enter Croatia! Meet your bf in Croatia and then fly to sweden and you don’t have to go through border control. Also idk if your intent was to move in with your boyfriend but Americans can’t stay in sweden for longer then 90 days. If you plan to move in with him you need to apply for a residence permit to stay longer than 90 days

I'm Christoph from Belgium, got engaged on 02/02/2020 with Anna Rica from the Philippines and after all documents where approved, we set a date for marriage in Oktober but Embassy won't give out visas for marriage, so we stay separated.
So why don't they follow the guidelines of EU?

Christopher67 I am in similar situation.. got all the papers and Im still waiting, had to cancel flight for this Sept.. And why dont they follow the guidelines? Lol.. because they are sovereign country.. We all just have to hope they will reopen soon at least for unmarried couples.

My wife and I were in a similar situation. Did you think of geeting married in the Ukraine. It helps the heart. It takes less than a week with all the apostilles and legalisations that you need. At least uit did for us. And stay away from all the lawyers and immigration experts. You can do it yourself, safe a lot of money and have it under control. All the best.

I'm from the US and my partner is Colombian. I haven't lived in the US for five years but was visiting family in March when borders shut down. My partner was able to get a humanitarian flight back to Colombia in June but Colombia's borders are completely shut for incoming and outgoing traffic until September 1st at the moment.

Greetings to all!
I'm from Bulgaria and my fiancee is from Mexico. She had flights booked in May to come to Bulgaria and start living together but unfortunately our plans have been postponed. We have also been planning to get married in Bulgaria and then to have a wedding in Mexico but she needs to obtain a document in the Mexican Embassy in Budapest (due to the lack of a Mexican Embassy in Bulgaria) required for the marriage in Bulgaria to take place. We are hoping to be able to reunite soon but I am worried that the countries will close down even more again before to finally open up maybe next year.

Hello everyone! We’re all together!
Im Katya and I’m Russian. My boyfriend is Brazilian. We are international couple and we live in Shanghai, China.

I was traveling to Brazil in Jan 2020, met my boyfriends family and then came back to Russia to spend Chinese New Year vacation at home. We supposed to come back to Shanghai in February but coronavirus crushed our plan.

We’re apart from each other for 6 month already, China closed boarders and we cannot come back “home” and see each other.

We pray for Brazil to recover and let me to come there, we’re not married so I hope it won’t be a problem for me to have a right to come to Brazil 🇧🇷

Wish you guys to see your love as soon as possible! We will do it together ♥️
