Philippines reopening

Hi everyone!

Like som many others I have my girlfriend in the Philippines. Me myself are living in Sweden. It's so hard not to be able to see each other physically, and I can't find any information about when the Philippines might open up for non-asian tourists again. Does anyone now what their plan is?

Unfortunately, there is no updated information regarding the re-opening of the Philippines anytime soon.
I myself am an Irish citizen with a Filipina Girlfriend living in PH.

I hope things will re-open responsibly soon, but there has been nothing official regarding this for some time.
Of course, things can change very quickly and I am hopeful of this. :)

just want to share my story. my bf is swede. i am filipina. we last saw each other 3 January 2020. i was about to visit him in Swden for the third time on april 3, 2020. but covid happened around march. this year 2021, i got a visa again to visit visit him on april 1, 2021. i was not allowed to board my flight because turkish airlines wasnt knowledgeable about couple exemptions even though i brought everything with me, papers to prove our relationship and that we plan to get married. now i have ongoing application for a resident permit to live with my bf in sweden but it takes long. the long wait is really killing me and also im 34 years old and my bf will be 35 in septmeber. i just feel that i am running out of my youth that i havent spent with him yet :(

brelbrel I feel you, sis. I'm also a Filipina engaged with my South Korean fiancé. We last saw each other March 2020 before lockdowns and until now there is no way to go to Korea as a tourist. There's also no openings here in our country..hes getting really depressed and I'm also struggling to hold on to our relationship. I really really pray that a Sweetheart visa can be available for us. I really want to see even a glimpse of him in real life, even if for 1 day. TT

Hi everyone! One and a half years into the travel ban by now, does anybody know if there's any chance of re-opening anytime soon? I'm from Spain and haven't seen my Filipina girlfriend since 9 January 2020.

There is hope on the horizon now that Thailand has opened Phuket to International travel, and Indonesia is going to start to open Bali....and other Asian countries are considering opening resort islands that have international airports,
